I preordered the Librem phone from Purism. It's going to run debian. Does that count as being rooted?

Wow that's a step beyond getting rooted in my eyes.
I would love a phone like that, but I should make my current phone last as long as I could, for financial reasons.

Yeah that's fair! I remember my old phone from highschool, it had one of those cool blue screens on the front. I still have to wait a few months for the linux phone, so I'll let you know how it is when I get it :)

I rooted it so I could install adaway and greenify, other than that there's not much reason to have root anymore
I guess being able to run tcpdump is kinda cool as well

xposed was really nice too, made it a lot easier to customize things. Dunno if that's still a thing but I hope it is
its too utter shit to be worth rooting.
