looking for project ideas.
if I make it i'll post the STLs/source files. i'm better at mechanical things than artsy/organic things. i've never been good at art. i feel like such an imposter when i try anything artsy.
heya, you can print this rocket ship i made with OpenSCAD

And if you've never heard of OpenSCAD, I'll fill you in...
OpenSCAD is a programming language FOR SHAPES

You can use it to design printable machine parts, mold making, whatever you can think of!
Here's a helpful cheatsheat with a bunch of the commonly used functions - http://www.openscad.org/cheatsheet/

Unfortunately I don't have dual extruders, so I cannot print in multiple colours.
I could print the base in white, switch to a black filament, and print the black part on top of the white part.
That would be cool, I can paint the coloured part.

I can do that!
I'm going to order some hair clips because I need to design it to fit the specific clip.
Also, the face of it would be flat instead of round.
do one of these (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:432178)

I could really use an amplifier horn for resting my celphone so I can listen to podcasts while cleaning around the house. Getting it 3-d printed sounds like the right approach.

this is a neat idea using gravity to sort screws, but I don't think it would work with the construction screws I have
