Title: Post here every time you feel the march of time
Post by: rachel on April 13, 2020, 01:30:14 PM
Every once in a while I'll get this overwhelming sense of existential melancholy as I do something mundane. Random little things that remind me how long I've been on this planet. How far things have come.

I was cleaning my house over the weekend and found an old pill bottle from 2017. I was doing laundry and it made me think of all the different outfits I used to wear at my old office job in 2013. I saw the sweatshirt my ex gave me. My alarm goes off, a daily reminder to send an email to my Dad.

It doesn't matter what you do, time marches on.

I'm terrified of it.  I never paid any attention when i was constantly miserable, but now that i'm happy,  i can feel every part of my body starting to break down, and it scares the shit out of me.
