That's right, there are now TWO ways you can donate to Wetfish!
- PayPal Donations (https://wet.fish/donate)
- GitHub Subscriptions (https://github.com/sponsors/wetfish)
Since 2017 Wetfish has hired several employees to work on both client projects as well as contributing to our open source projects. Currently everyone employed by Wetfish are parents with young children. It's amazing to me that the work we do at Wetfish is actually supporting the livelihood of several families.
Times are tough right now and as we search for more clients I ask that members of the community pitch in to help cover the costs of the Wetfish Bounties program.

One big feature request that would be covered through this program is automatically rehosting images and videos from 3rd party sites when they are posted on the forums. A few months ago Discord changed the way content gets shared on their platform. After 24 hours any files hosted on discord expire and you need to use a new URL, thus breaking all of the content from Discord embedded onto the forums over the past several years.
If you want to contribute to the development of Wetfish without actually writing any code, please consider donating to support our work.

The coolest part about GitHub sponsorships is that they don't charge fees for individuals, unlike most other services like Patreon which take away up to 12% of your donations through service fees.
Quote from: https://docs.github.com/en/sponsors/getting-started-with-github-sponsors/about-github-sponsorsGitHub Sponsors does not charge any fees for sponsorships from personal accounts, so 100% of these sponsorships go to the sponsored developer or organization. GitHub Sponsors charges a fee of up to 6% for sponsorships from organization accounts.

That fish makes me so sad :(
My pockets aren't deep, but I'm not really using my membership to the massage and spa place anyway.
Github Sponsors no longer accepts PayPal. I'd rather not give them my credit card info if I don't have to, can I just send money to wetfish directly?

It's time! It finally happened, months later I finally set up the Paypal donation page, lol. https://wet.fish/donate
I'm very happy with how easy PayPal makes it to customize their new donation page, you can even pick what you want your donation to be used for
