Maybe be able to "fork" a thread into the shitpost forum.

agree 100% that's a big part of the reason I want to rewrite the forum software to be more like an imageboard

I think it would also be cool if there was an interface for cross-posting, so I could post this image both in the "good morning housewives" thread and "guns" thread simultaneously

I second this, feature request.  Like I'd like to cross post the incel thread to the general discussion to say something serious.  And all the serious boards, I want to just shitpost.  It's what I do.
