Meanwhile on mars

After several assists from my robotic arm, the mole appears to be underground. It's been a real challenge troubleshooting from millions of miles away. We still need to see if the mole can dig on its own.

The mole's now mostly buried, but not yet digging on its own. I'll be using my arm for a couple other tasks like imaging my solar panels, while I consider other ways to assist, maybe as an earthmover – er, "marsmover" – to push loose soil into the hole.

If you have money, you can just go visit the old missile silos, build a nice home underground elsewhere, and still have a bunch of money left over that you didnt spend trying to renovate an old ruin not really meant for people to live in. For example, there's one of those old missile silos that a guy runs scuba diving tours out of. Apparently it's very cold, but interesting. Trying to remember what show it was on, maybe Abandoned on Vice?

This guy dug a 50 foot deep cavern underneath his house and put a trailer in it. The cavern is so deep that it has water in it. The cool air is used instead of air conditioning in the rest of the house above ground.
