Ledger is the name of a USB bitcoin wallet. This hack lets people with physical access to your device change the software which runs on it, which could potentially be used maliciously

But seriously, tell them you don't know anything about it, then lose like a hundred bucks on it and say you quite.  Hell, you can even pocket the cash and print fake loss statements if you want.  They'll never trust you with their money again.  Mission accomplished.
