These images are produced from ground observatories and space telescopes orbiting our planet. I would suggest reading about telescopes!

I failed to mention that some images are conceptual mock-ups of what we think we are observing. We are still infants when it comes to space exploration.

I choose to believe that the moon landings were real because then I get to believe in Buzz Aldrin's radio message where he vaugely says "They're just watching us".
