Found this interesting video of people turning shards of glass into marbles. I wonder what other things people could make out of recycled materials like this?

Oooo! I'm such a fan of upcycling. Dang, I could really get into that shit if there was the machines easily accessible to process stuff.

We gotta build the machines ourselves! The only way it'll be accessible is if we design them and make the plans open source so anyone else can replicate it. Recycling should be local

This video shows a mobile recycling center at Apogaea in 2024. This recycling company has a big box truck with hydraulics that lift and expand this recycling structure out of the back of the truck like a transformer. They go to remote areas with limited recycling infrastructure and help small communities sort recyclable materials that can be sold to local manufacturers. By focusing on local manufacturers they ensure that the recycled material minimizes transportation emissions.
