the idea is that by making shitpost central pay more coral, people will keep the shitposts in there and when they actually want to have a genuine conversation they'll do it over there

I do think it is a bit of a perverse incentive, though

it would be better if general discussion paid more and if you shitposted in there you could have your coral revoked by a mod, but that would take some additional dev work
